WEBUILD:
WEBSITES.
A clear, persuasive home for the work. Not digital wallpaper, and not a slideshow that makes people guess.
The problem
Your website should not need a guided tour.
Most websites don't fail because they're ugly. They fail because a visitor lands, spends four seconds trying to work out what's on offer, and leaves to go and be confused somewhere else.
The work behind the site is usually excellent. The site just buries it: vague headlines, a menu built for the org chart instead of the reader, three paragraphs where one sharp line would do. People don't read harder to reward good work. They leave.
You don't need more pages. You need the right things in the right order, said in a way a busy person understands on the first pass.
The outcome
A site people read top to bottom, and finish knowing exactly what to do next.
When it's working, the site does three things at once. It tells the right person "this is for you" fast. It makes the value obvious without a decoder ring. And it makes the next step feel like the natural thing to do, not a leap.
Underneath the writing and the visuals there's a real argument: a reason to keep reading, a reason to trust you, a reason to act. That's the part most template sites skip, and it's the part that actually converts.
The approach
Words first. Then structure. Then design. Then the build.
Find it
What's valuable and distinctive here, and who it's really for.
Shape it
The message, the page order and the argument a visitor actually follows.
Build it
Design and development on a real grid: fast, accessible, and yours to run.
Move it
Launch, check it works on real devices, and hand you something you can steer.
What's built
The actual deliverables.
Scope flexes to the project. A one-page site and a forty-page rebuild are not the same job, and we won't price them as if they are.
Website strategy
Goals, audience, the single job the site has to do, and how we'll know it's working. Everything downstream points back to this.
UX & information architecture
The pages, the order, the navigation and the path a visitor takes. Built for how people actually read, not for the internal wiring diagram.
Copywriting
Every word, written to sound like you and to carry the argument. Headlines, body, buttons, the small print that reassures. Words are the hard part; we don't outsource them back to you.
Visual design
Layout, type, colour and detail on a proper grid. Design that supports the reading, rather than decoration that fights it.
Development
A fast, standards-based build. Semantic HTML, sensible performance, no dependency on us to change a headline later.
Performance & accessibility
Quick to load, keyboard-navigable, readable contrast, respectful of reduced-motion. Accessibility is treated as part of the job, not a compliance afterthought.
Launch support
We test on real screens, help you go live, and don't vanish the moment the DNS propagates.
- The work is strong; the site undersells it
- You've outgrown a template you set up years ago
- People "don't quite get" what you do from the site
- You want copy and design handled together, by people who talk to each other
- You want the cheapest possible page, fast, no questions
- You've already decided every word and just need hands on a keyboard
- You want a hundred pages of SEO filler nobody will read
- You need a complex web app, not a site, which is a different trade
The proof
The best proof is a site you can click through.
Ask, and we'll show you relevant builds and take you through the decisions behind them: what we changed, and why it worked. If your project isn't right for us, we'll point you somewhere that is. How we work →
Website questions
Before you email.
Do you design and develop, or just one?
Both, plus the strategy and copy. That's the point: the site is designed and built by people who agreed on the argument first, so nothing gets lost in a handover.
What do you build it in?
Whatever fits the project and leaves you able to run it. Often that's a fast, standards-based static build; sometimes a CMS makes sense if you're publishing regularly. We choose for your situation, not our habits.
Can I update it myself afterwards?
Yes. We build so that changing a headline or adding a page doesn't require us. If you'd like us on retainer for bigger changes, that's an option, not a leash.
Do you do SEO?
We build clean, fast, well-structured sites with sensible metadata and semantics, the foundations search engines actually reward. We won't promise rankings or stuff pages with keyword sludge.
What if I already have brand guidelines?
Great, we'll work within them. If they're getting in the way of the site doing its job, we'll tell you, and you can decide. Brands →
Timing & investment
Scoped and fixed-price, before anything starts.
Once we understand the job, you get a clear scope and a fixed price to decide on. No hourly meters, no surprise at the end. A focused website moves in a few weeks; a bigger build takes longer, and you'll know the timeline before we begin.
Starting ranges are being finalised. In the meantime, tell us the job and you'll get a real number, not a guess.
